Corn snow tours in the Dolomites

Skiing in the deep powder snow in the Dolomites is surely one of the most thrilling winter-sports in South Tyrol. Who has ride the classics, is part of the best skiers in the world, who has ski in 2 m deep powder snow on Marmolada will never more care about Canada.

The Dolomites in winter are often endangered by avalanches. But in spring the classic channels and gullies become corn snow paradises. The snow is still frozen in the morning, but with the first rays of sun, the snow "corns" and nothing get’s in the way of an unforgettable ride. The panorama of Sella, Cristallo and Tofane is breath taking.

Very popular and not to difficult corn snow tours are the ones in Mezdì Valley and in Setus Valley near Kolfuschg in Alta Badia. More challenging channels and gullies are the Holzer Channel between Sass Pordoi and Sella or the Sassongher Channel.
