The air tastes aromatic, on trees and flowers there is still dew and in the middle of the idyll are sleeping animals and mountain huts. Wonderful. But one time in the year the quietness in Gsies Valley in South Tyrol is over: during the Gsies alp huts festival.

Every two years a different hut

The beauty of nature can only be experienced entirely when you share your experience with friends and other mountaineers. And the beauty of nature is worth being celebrated. Because of that, every year the alp huts in Gsies organize a big one-day-festival with many music, culinary delicacies and many friends of nature and mountains.

This year the Gsies alp hut fest takes place at 16th September on Versell alp. The alp is easily reachable also for families with little children and for older people.
