Gustav Mahler Music Weeks 2009 in Toblach
The Gustav Mahler Musik Weeks will take place from July, 11 till August, 2 this year. Read here about the highlights of the Mahler Music Weeks and the program of the famous music event in Toblach.
This year the Gustav Mahler Music Weeks celebrate the 100th anniversary of the masterpiece "9th Symphony". Mahler wrote it in 1909 during one of his stays in Toblach. The festival opens Saturday, July 11 with a real highlight: the 5th Symphony.
Another date to not miss is the concert with the 2nd Symphony the 2nd August. The 9th Symphony, however, will be preformed the 23rd July by the "Bamberger Symphoniker"
